Beyond the Code
While computer science is a big part of my life, I also enjoy exploring the world outside of programming - creativity and curiosity drive me, whether I’m drawing, reading, or traveling.
A Little Bit About Me:
I am originally from Moscow, Russia and moved to the U.S. at the age of 12, so I got to grow up in both cultures. I believe my origin story gives me an open-minded perspective on things and allows me to always be innovative with my approach.
Creative Interests
I love drawing, more specifically sketching. I have found it to be a relaxing activity that I can do almost anywhere at any time (you will always find a tiny sketchbook in my bag). I also love art museums!
Books
Reading is another one of my favorite hobbies - I’m especially drawn to science fiction, with The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy being one of my favorite reads. I enjoy stories that imagine the future of technology and humanity - because they inspire me to think about the kind of future I want to help build (obviously the good kinds of future only).
Travel
Growing up, I got to experience other countries quite a lot, and plan on continuing to expand my culutural horizons. Freshman year I participated in a spring break Connect Abroad program to London and this upcoming Fall I am studying abroad in Oxford, UK!
